Extremity Adjustments for Shoulder Pain
Adjustments not only help in restoring normal functions of a shoulder, but it reduces the stress on the neck and wrist/elbow as well.
Our providers are very well trained in the diagnosis and manipulation of the shoulder and its surrounding structures. We create our treatment plans based on each patient’s individual presentations.
Extremity Adjustments for the Hand/Wrist
Most people don’t know that the wrist and hand has 27 bones. This many moving parts allow for a variety of joint dysfunctions.
Patients are surprised at how good our wrist adjustments feel. The techniques we use are very difficult to administer properly. This is why our clinic is a popular option for non-surgical treatment of conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Extremity Adjustments for Hip Pain
The hip is a ball and socket joint that allows motion in 3 different planes. All of these motions are extremely important for our daily activities.
When there is a fixation of the hip, pain is a common symptom. This lack of motion can put stress on the low back and also on the knees. Due to this lack of normal motion, gait changes are almost certain.
Extremity Adjustments for Knee Pain
Knee pain is common and can be due to trauma, poor habits, or most importantly misalignments in the hip, knee, and/or ankle. What makes this so important is that it is easily corrected
Our providers excel in manipulation of the joints of the body. We provide great treatment for knees and the factors that lead to unnecessary pain.
Extremity Adjustments for the Foot & Ankle
The foot/ankle is the basic foundation of the body. There are 28 bones that make up an astonishing 33 joints!
Diagnosing the causation of pain in the foot/ankle can be very difficult. Adjusting more than a couple of these 33 joints correctly is even more difficult for most providers.

WHAT IS AN EXTREMITY?
DO YOU ADJUST EXTREMITIES?
Yes, we do! We recognize that the entire body is important, not just the spine.
As humans, we use our arms and legs a tremendous amount. What if you could not bend your elbow at all? This would make it very difficult on the shoulder and your wrist/hand. However, let’s not stop there. How would that impact your neck and upper back? Imagine the crazy positions that you would have to get in just to make up for the range of motion loss in the elbow!
As doctors that work on extremities, we are taking that extra step to ensure that our patients are able to function at peak performance for their ENTIRE body, not only their spine.

WHY ARE EXTREMITIES IMPORTANT?
Just as each piece of a puzzle is important, each extremity plays a vital role in the function of the body. All parts of the body work together. It is not just a bunch of individual parts working separately.
For example, pain in a foot may cause some degree of limping and will certainly alter your posture. This will cause direct stress on the knees and hips. If it is left untreated long enough, the problems will continue up the body and to other areas, such as the spine or even the shoulders.
When you correct one part, you are helping the function of the entire body and all of its parts.
HOW DOES CHIROPRACTIC HELP THE WHOLE BODY?
IF I FEEL PAIN IN MY ANKLE, CAN YOU JUST ADJUST MY ANKLE?
We can adjust just that area, but we wouldn’t stop there. Like we mentioned before, the body is a whole system that works together. A patient that says they have wrist pain might have a shoulder or elbow issue that is causing the pain in the wrist as well. (We see this a lot!)
Most providers focus only on an area that has pain. We take it a step further and look for other areas in the body that may be involved as well.
In short, yes, we can simply adjust your ankle if that is what your complaint is about. However, considering that we strive to excel in our practice, we would address all areas with possible involvement.
